Recruitment and training

We are often asked by clients to help with the recruitment of development staff and with our very wide network of contacts we are often able to help. We will support clients either by working closely with a chosen specialist search firm, most of whom are known to us, or by undertaking specific elements of the recruitment process. This might include, for example, drafting job descriptions and reward packages, advising on advertising or assisting with interview preparation and implementation.

We also provide very many custom-designed training programmes in all aspects and at all levels of development work – from 'how to ask' through to working with leadership volunteer boards. We work with development practitioners, academic leaders and external volunteers, and believe in interactive training based on discussion, role play and case studies, and a sound understanding of your organisation and its fundraising aspirations. Many of our consultants are regular trainers and presenters for professional associations including CASE and the Institute of Fundraising.
